WOMEN'S RESOURCES POST-PARTUM AND BEYOND
Chasque aquí para la información en español
Marin Momcare is a comprehensive Resource List designed to help women post-partum and beyond to find support for their own physical, emotional and spiritual needs as new mothers.
New mothers need local support. The resources listed all serve the Marin County community. Driving across the Bay is not conducive to the health of new mothers. FYI Marin MOMCARE does not have health services to offer other than the Resource Directory. Please contact individual listings directly to find the help you need.
Marin MOMCARE is founded on the belief that the physical and emotional health of our children is essential to the ongoing life of our community, both local and global. Nurturing care for mothers is essential to the health of our children. Marin MOMCARE is devoted to supporting mind-body and spiritual health for all mothers. Our priority is to support and nurture all mothers in our local community. For this reason, Marin MOMCARE offers information in both English and Spanish, and members offer services in ways that accommodate economic diversity whenever possible.
Marin MOMCARE has been created by a group of women post-partum and beyond care-givers, who, through our own experiences, became aware of the need for such a resource. The website is sponsored by San Rafael-based Nutrition for the Whole Family.
Our goal is to provide a comprehensive listing of resources for new mothers. Marin MOMCARE does not specifically endorse any of the individual services listed in the Resource Directory.
Marin MOMCARE is also an organization that meets semi-regularly and holds networking events for providers and educational events for the general public. It was founded by Melinda Mills, LAc and is currently run by Emily Bender, NC, CHN and Nutrition for the Whole Family. For more info please contact Hannah at Nutrition for the Whole Family: 415-259-4471 or hannah@nutritionforthewholefamily.com.
